PRP via injection or microneedling PRP stands for platelet rich plasma.  While the patient is numbing, their blood is drawn into a sophisticated, sterile collection system and then centrifuged to separate out the platelet rich plasma.  The PRP will be withdrawn from the collection system in a sterile fashion and will then be applied to the microneedled area AFTER the procedure is over.  PRP is full of growth factors and nutrients which enhance the treatment.  You come to the office well hydrated starting the day before and continuing the day of. Then your blood is drawn into a sophisticated, sterile collection system and then centrifuged to separate out the platelet rich plasma.  The PRP will be withdrawn from the collection system in a sterile fashion and will then be applied to the scalp via injection or after microneedling. You will leave the PRP on overnight if it is done later in the day or it can be washed off  in the evening if it is done earlier in the day.

For patients who are unable to do blood draws for whatever reason, i.e. poor vei quality, or lymphedema there is a new method available with the AMP Ultra device and the Derive hair restoration serum. Painless and non-invasive, the Derive serum is applied to the scalp and and it is massaged in with the Ultrasound mode of the device. Then the Patient will receive the Derive Serum to use at home 1-2 times a day. A series of 3 treatments are done at monthly intervals, then at 6 months. Then continued once every 6 months to maintain the hair regrowth that was achieved. No numbing or anesthesia is needed.
